Build With AI: The Agentic Frontier
The future belongs to AI Agents, systems that can reason, use tools, and take action autonomously.
Build a functional agent or "agentic workflow" using Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, Gemini, etc.) Whether it’s an agent that manages a student’s entire academic calendar, a "vibe-coding" assistant for developers, or an autonomous researcher for complex datasets, prove how AI can act as an active collaborator.
Use your Google Cloud credits to power long-context reasoning to bridge the gap between AI and the real world.

Medical Benefit Drug Policy Tracker
Health plans govern coverage of medical benefit drugs through individual medical policies that vary by payer and change frequently. There is no centralized, standardized source for tracking which drugs are covered under which policies, what clinical criteria apply, or how those policies differ across plans. Build an AI-powered system that can ingest, parse, and normalize medical policy documents from multiple health plans to create a searchable, comparable view of medical benefit drug coverage, enabling users to quickly answer questions like Which plans cover Drug X?, What prior auth criteria does Plan Y require for Drug Z?, or What changed across payer policies this quarter?

Financial Wellness
Millions of Americans lack access to the tools and knowledge needed to make confident financial decisions. Build a project that improves financial literacy, helps people plan for the unexpected, or makes financial products more accessible, especially for underserved or underrepresented communities. Think budgeting tools, insurance education, risk calculators, or emergency planning apps.
Judging criteria: Innovation, technical execution, accessibility, and real-world impact.

Sustainability Challenge
The climate crisis demands creative, scalable solutions. Build a project that helps individuals, businesses, or communities reduce waste, lower their carbon footprint, make more sustainable purchasing decisions, or measure their environmental impact. We're looking for ideas that are actionable today and scalable tomorrow.
Judging criteria: Innovation, technical execution, environmental impact, and feasibility.
